Happiness...Does it exist?

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

It’s interesting..I feel like unanimously most people think & feel that this world we live in is a horrible place – but most never say it. I’ve never really had this thought so strongly until recently and when I bring it up to people, it is an instant agreement, not even a hesitation. If we all feel this way why aren’t people saying it more as a way to make change or at the least help other people? From my perspective people don’t say it because they rather not delve deep into the reality of the state we actually live in and rather live in their made up fairytale – that they try very hard to manage.

I watched this interesting video, that said if we all try to heal our traumas, our personal traumas that would lead to us all healing and becoming more unified, one. Which I do think is the ultimate goal. I also had this other idea..the past and learning of the past keep a lot of these boundaries and feelings people have toward each other, to keep living on. Wouldn’t it be better to keep the past in the past? What is the benefit of teaching all new life some of the horrible pasts we have had and groups of people pitted against each other.

Happiness?

That is what we are told is the goal here on earth, to be happy, at ease, all is well. Is pure happiness actually attainable here? How many people do you know, if any, would you say are at a complete state of happiness right now? I don’t think I know anyone at the moment…maybe one actually, one that is very happy with her life right now, but does it last?

I believe the only feeling that lasts forever is love. Love cannot be broken, cut, and sometimes even damaged. Love is a feeling/emotion, that runs so deep I think it puts out higher vibrations and lasts past this earth. I think that is a beautiful thing. You can loose someone or something, which is a change, but even though the are not physically here, you still have that feeling of love for them.

Maybe that is why we are here…to love, too have loss, and to grow. Maybe we aren’t here for happiness. Happiness is nice, and comes at different times of life but I am starting to believe this world was not created for a constant or attainable constant of happiness. That I believe can exist in the after life.
