I wanted to touch on something else that has came up multiple times for me, the inner child. It seems that any kind of trauma we might have experienced early in our life, can keep coming up in our adult life.
Whether it is fear, anger, resentment, anxiety etc, if we don’t deal with these traumas we might have had as a child, they can lead to obstacles in the future. I am still learning about this, it is very interesting, but since it has came up multiple times I feel that it is important to work on. As a child I was very nervous and had a lot of anxiety. I was always thinking about the future, who’s picking me up from school? What happens if x, y and z happens? Thinking of every possible outcome and solution even before something happened. For a very young kid this is a lot to deal with and to worry about.
I find that when I am in stressful situations in my adult life the same kind of energy surrounds me and I go in this fight or flight mode of figuring out, not trusting anyone, and anxiety over situations. I have been told it is good to picture that child (the younger you), tell him it is okay, not to worry, and I am in a new place now, I can make my own decisions, do what I need and there is nothing to worry about. We have to trust and be present to move forward. There are also different physical touches to relax your nervous system I am going to try. I think this will be very beneficial to me and everyone. Inner child work is important, so much happens to us when we are young and molds us into how we are today. Working through any trauma will open more brighter, and more spiritual doors for our future. Yes, this is easier said than done.
